Terms and Conditions Regarding Your Use of the Membership Directory

By accessing and using this Membership Directory (“Directory”) and the website (“Site”) upon which it is located, you acknowledge, accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You also understand and agree, that Grameen America, Inc., in its sole discretion, may modify or change these terms and conditions and that you will be bound by any modifications or changes as they occur.  

You acknowledge and agree that you are volunteering certain information about yourself and your business to Grameen America, Inc. and to any member or outside third party (“third party”) who uses this Directory or accesses the Site. Grameen America, Inc. is not responsible for how this information is used by members or Third Parties and it expects the responsible use of this information in accordance with these terms and conditions.  

Only members of Grameen America, Inc.’s lending program may be listed in the Directory or on the Site. Access to this Directory is being provided to you for professional networking purposes, to share content that is informative or educational, or to discuss news and topics relevant to you and other members of the GAI program and Elevate initiative (collectively “GAI”).  

You may not use, copy, reproduce, transmit, translate, offer for sale, sell, distribute, publish, circulate, modify, create derivative works of, disseminate or commercially exploit the Directory or the Site on which it is published. You also agree not to use the Directory or the Site for any unlawful purpose.  GAI or any individual user shall not distribute or sell the Directory, any member information or any other content contained therein to any third parties. 

You not permitted to use GAI’s or the Elevate name, logos, or images of any nature which in any way implies that GAI or the Elevate program participates in, or approves of, your business, or that implies an endorsement or sponsorship of your business by GAI or the Elevate program.  

The contents of the Directory and the Site are owned by and are the exclusive property of GAI. You acquire only a right to use the Directory as authorized herein, and not any right of ownership in the directory. GAI retains all copyright rights to the Directory and any changes or other uses  

Content Submission: Remember, this is a service provided for you and your business. 

Do’s

• Do utilize the directory for professional networking purposes. 
• Do contact a member for insight, ideas, and general feedback on how to handle a particular issue. 
• Do contact a member to discuss news and topics relevant to your business. 
• Do share content with a member that is solely informative or educational. 
• Do share experiences and help with aspects of the GAI/Elevate program. 
• Be respectful to fellow Directory users – avoid messages that promote racism, bigotry, hatred or discrimination against and group or individual.  
• Respect confidentiality and not use personal information about another member 
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations 
• Respect the privacy rights of other members using the Directory 

Don’ts

• Don’t use the Directory’s contents to generate bulk communications, direct mail, or e-blast lists. 
• Don’t share or sell the information in the Directory with third parties. 
• Don’t harass, threaten or defame any other member on the Directory 
• Don’t imply that presence in the Directory is a promotion or endorsement of your goods or services by GAI 
• Violate any laws or regulations. 

GAI may deny access to the Directory to any person or organization that GAI has reasonable grounds to believe may be using the Directory in violation of the Terms of Use and Conditions. In addition, you must remain a GAI active member to be listed on the Directory or have access to the Site and comply with all rules, procedures, processes and policies of GAI’s program. ¹

Your use of the Directory or the Site or the information accessed is entirely at your own risk and it is your sole responsibility to evaluate accuracy and completeness and GAI and/or Elevate expressly disclaim all express and implied warranties, including without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. In addition, the inclusion of any information on the site is not expressing any endorsement of any company or member featured in the profiles section or any goods or services offered by such members or companies. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless gai/the elevate program and its directors, officers, employees from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising out of or related to (i) your use of the directory or site; (ii) your violation of the terms and conditions; (iii) violations of any intellectual property rights; or (iv) violations of applicable law, rule or regulation.
